Author Guidelines
The Kırıkkale University Journal of Social Sciences (KUJSS) is an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research articles, review papers, and book reviews in all fields of social sciences. The journal is published twice a year (January and July) and adopts an open access policy.
The correct article type must be selected during submission. Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal. All authors must have seen and approved the final version of the manuscript.
Ethics Committee Approval is mandatory for studies involving humans, animals, or sensitive data. The ethics approval document must be uploaded to the system. Manuscripts that do not comply with ethical standards will not be considered for evaluation.
Authors are required to complete and upload the signed Artificial Intelligence Use Disclosure Form indicating whether any AI tool was used in the preparation of the manuscript.
A similarity report is mandatory for all submissions. The acceptable similarity limit is a maximum of 20%. The report must be uploaded to the system.
Manuscripts must be prepared using the “KUJSS Article Template and Author Guidelines.” APA 6 citation and reference formatting is required.
The journal employs a double-blind peer-review process. Therefore, the manuscript file must not contain any author name, institutional affiliation, or acknowledgment section. Author information should appear only in the metadata fields within the submission system. Author details must be added after acceptance. Authors must sign and upload the Copyright Transfer Form in PDF or Word format. The economic rights of published works are transferred to KUJSS.
Manuscripts should follow the standard structure of a research article, including: Title, Abstract (in Turkish and English), Keywords, Introduction, Method, Findings/Analysis, Discussion, Conclusion, References, and Appendices. Section headings may vary depending on the subject area. An Extended Abstract in English is mandatory for all manuscripts.
Manuscript submission is carried out exclusively through DergiPark . During submission, authors must upload: the full manuscript, supplementary files (if any), Ethics Approval Document (if applicable), Artificial Intelligence Use Disclosure Form, Copyright Transfer Form, Similarity Report, and other required documents.
For manuscripts derived from postgraduate theses, including the thesis advisor’s name among the authors is mandatory. Manuscripts that do not include the advisor’s name will not be published. Additionally, the number of thesis-derived manuscripts published in an issue may not exceed 25% of the total number of articles.
The maximum evaluation period is 180 days. Reviewers are given 15 days to complete their evaluations. Extensions may be granted when necessary. The final publication decision is made by the Editor. The journal does not charge article processing fees (APC) or submission fees. All published articles are freely accessible, downloadable, and usable within legal and ethical limits.
